DHS Dance Program

There are many different opportunities to dance at Deerfield High School. After freshman year, students can take dance as a physical education class. Freshman can enroll in a dance class as a fine arts elective.  Students in dance classes perform in two dance class shows each year. Course selection is based on dance experience and teacher recommendation. 

Course offerings are:
  • Dance Explorations
  • Intermediate Advanced Dance
  •  Advanced Dance Repertoire                

The DHS Dance Company is an extracurricular activity and members are selected during auditions in the fall. The Dance Company is directed by Sarah Campbell and Tarah Hartung. The Dance Company show is held in late April each year and features both works choreographed by students and by professional choreographers.
