Deerfield High School “Friends of the Arts” is a non-profit (501c-3) parent organization.
Our goal is to support faculty and students in all of the fine arts programs at the school.
We provide funds in order to enhance students' education, opportunities and experiences in the fine arts
We strive to create united efforts between DHS and the community to provide increased opportunities for Fine Arts students.
Funding is provided through annual membership dues, in-kind contributions and other donations from alumni, extended family and community members. Over the years, Friends of the Arts has funded a variety of programs and
needs within the fine arts department the high school.

- Grand piano
- Professional choreographers to work with our dance troupe and dance classes.
- Artists-in-residence who spend time with our faculty and students.
- Purchased new high-tech lights for the theatre department.
- Provided scholarships for students needing assistance with lessons or program related costs.
- Provided funding toward a commissioned piece for our orchestra.
- Provided financial support for a juried visual arts show in conjunction with high schools across the Chicagoland area.
